About the plan
Does this mean ministry stops at 15 hours?
No. Ministry is all of life, all 168 hours of the week. The 15 hours are the planned, focused work: study, preaching, teaching, visits, and admin. Planning that core well frees you for what can't be scheduled, like prayer, presence, and crisis care.
Who is this for?
Anyone carrying significant ministry responsibility in a small church: senior and associate pastors, ministers, elders, Bible teachers, and youth and children's leaders. It's built around the realities of bivocational and volunteer ministry, and it works just as well for full-time leaders who want to protect time for family, rest, and the people God has placed in front of them.
Is this tied to a denomination?
No. The material is broadly evangelical and cross-denominational, so churches can adapt it to their own tradition and practices.
Using the materials
Can a volunteer really teach the lesson with no training?
Yes, that's the design. Each lesson includes a word-for-word leader script and timing notes, so a willing volunteer can prepare in about 30 minutes.
What if my church doesn't follow the sermon series?
Each lesson works on its own. You can use the lessons, the weekly plan, or the series maps separately.
What format are the materials in?
Each kit comes as a printable PDF and an editable document, so you can adjust names, dates, and examples for your church.
Who writes the content, and is AI involved?
Dr. Doug plans every series and shapes, writes, edits, and approves every lesson. He uses AI tools to help with first drafts and formatting, the way many writers do, but nothing reaches you without his review. Some of our short videos use an AI version of Dr. Doug’s likeness and voice. They carry the AI label YouTube, Instagram and Facebook provide, and they only ever say words he wrote.
Billing
What if it isn't a fit?
If your first month isn't helpful, email hello@jethroplan.com within 30 days for a full refund.
Can I cancel?
Anytime, with no fees. Founding members who cancel lose the founding price, so it's worth keeping if you plan to come back.
Is there help for churches that can't afford it?
Yes. Ask about a hardship rate. No small church should go without because of budget.
Do you offer group plans?
Yes. Associations, networks, and denominations can cover 25 to 100 churches at a group rate. See group plans.
