What we believe
Where the lessons stand.
Every series, lesson, and plan is written from these convictions.
Statement of faith
- Scripture. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, true and trustworthy, and our final authority for faith and life.
- God. There is one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ. Jesus is fully God and fully man. He lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and will return.
- Salvation. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by our own works.
- The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in every believer, empowering us for holy living and service. He still guides His people today, so every plan we make is held with open hands.
- The church. The church is the body of Christ, and every believer is called to use their gifts to build it up.
Using the material in your tradition
Churches from many traditions use material like this. Every lesson comes as an editable document, so you can adapt examples, applications, and practices to fit your church.
On matters where faithful churches differ, such as how to practice baptism and communion or how spiritual gifts work today, the lessons stay centered on what we hold in common and point you to your own church's practice for the rest.
Lessons cite Scripture by reference, so you can read from the translation your church uses.
